Prague-on-Sea

Crossing Europe in only eighteen hours.

Last year Metrans started a rail shuttle Rotterdam – Prague in both directions. In Rotterdam the train calls at RSC in the Eemhaven/City area and at Maasvlakte at the terminals of ECT and Euromax.

Shipping line Samskip and shippers SCA Interforest and GreenChem (for return cargo) are very enthusiastic about this new service. A CO2 reduction of 50 percent compared to the same transport by road and cost reductions of ten to fifteen percent are just some of the advantages.

The Port of Rotterdam Authority strives to bring even more parties together for efficient intermodal rail transport throughout entire Europe.
