As from the first of March Rhinecontainer increases her fleet with an extra barge.
The ms ‘Dilsberg’ is 135 metres long, 11.40 metres wide and can transport 268 TEU with 3.400 tons.
The vessel will be added in the weekly liner services between the port of Rotterdam and the inland ports of Bonn, Koblenz, Andernach, Mainz and Frankfurt. The extension of the fleet, now 21 vessels and vessel-barge combinations, responds to market demand and enlarges the flexibility.
Recently, daughter company Transbox boosted its fleet with a fifth unit: the 135 x 11.45 metres, 268 TEU capacity ‘Saron’. MV Saron will be deployed in order to add capacity to both the intra-Rotterdam port and the Rotterdam-Antwerp-Zaandam-Amsterdam barge services.
