Buoys and Dolphins

In addition to the unrivalled draft and natural location at the mouth of the river Rhine, the Port of Rotterdam is also unique thanks to the wide range of mooring buoys, dolphins and public quays.

Approximately 25 berths are available throughout the port area, catering for a variety of purposes: transhipments, repairs, bunkering, cleaning and stopovers.

The berths alongside buoys, dolphins and public quays are allocated by the Harbour Coordination Centre (HCC) and each has its own set of specifications and mooring guidelines.
