Water levels, current speeds, wave height, wind and visibility

With the application Internet Amethyst up-to-date Hydrological and Meteorological measurement data can be consulted in regards to water levels, current speeds, wave height, wind and visibility in the Rotterdam port area. The data come from monitoring networks in the port area that are managed by the Port of Rotterdam Authority and  Rijkswaterstaat – (RWS - Ministry of Public Works). The Port Authority has systems in place that ensure the measurements are taken periodically and are made available via the Amethyst database.
