Maasvlakte 2 - unique opportunity to create a better environment

The construction of Maasvlakte 2 provides unique opportunities for improving the environment. However, working on sustainability still does not automatically apply beyond the MV2 project to the whole port area. This presents a risk in terms of how the procedures progress, and also for the image of the Port Authority itself.

Rotterdam Energy Port – sustainable development

In addition, the sustainable development of Rotterdam as Energy Port is of great economic and financial importance. But this future-oriented and energy-efficient Energy Port also has considerable social significance: to provide the region, the Netherlands and Europe with a continuous and reliable supply of clean and affordable energy.
