Rotterdam is a clean port. As manager of the port we aim to keep the port and industrial complex in the best condition. Therefore, port users are not allowed to dispose any waste in the port. For the disposal of waste the port offers various facilities.

Ships industrial waste 
Waste from the engine-room such as bilge water, used oil and grease residues, filters or rags as well as small amounts of chemical waste suchs as paint residues and batteries can be collected by slop barges of Afvalverwerking Rijnmond, telephone: (0180) 274 853 or by waste collector Bek & Verburg, telephone (010) 4287744. Cargo residues
Cargo residues originate from the loading and unloading of dry and liquid cargo. Cargo residues can be delivered to a stevedore or to a designated port reception facility. Costs will be charged directly.

At the public berths in the port area and in the marina’s household refuse containers are present.
