NYK Line thanks port of Rotterdam

Hiroshi Yamafuji, managing director corporate planning NYK Line, thanks Jaap Lems, harbourmaster port of Rotterdam, for the acceptance of the berth of the damaged containership NYK Antares on 11 november 2007.

On 9 November the vessel encountered severe weather in the North Sea. Some containers on deck and parts of the ship hull were subsequently damaged. To ensure the safety of the vessel, she needed to quickly find a port where immediate repairs could be performed. NYK Antares was able to return to service onm 13 November 2007.
