Oss trimodal terminal

04-21-2008

The OOC terminal in Oss in the south-east of the Netherlands, is to become a fully-fledged trimodal terminal with a, doubled, capacity of approximately 70,000 TEU.

The surface area of the terminal will be doubled to 6 hectares. A 500-metre-long inland shipping quay will be added, as well as a rail connection for 600-metre-long trains. Besides an increasing number of containers, OCC also handles bulk cargo. In this connection it already has silos, in addition to which an 8,000 m2 warehouse is being built.

The terminal is connected to Rotterdam five times per week by a barge shuttle.
