Harbour dues for sea-going vessels
An important activity performed by the Port of Rotterdam Authority is the collection of the harbour dues in the port of Rotterdam. The amount of harbour dues that must be paid depends on the size of the ship and the quantity of transshipment. The collected harbour dues are used for construction and maintenance of port facilities, so that the Port of Rotterdam Authority can offer you a continuous standard of quality.
The port tariffs are fixed by mutual agreement with the business community in the port, on annual basis. They form part of the General Terms and Conditions for Sea harbour dues and Inland harbour dues. Rates for maritime service providers and waste levy are included in the annexes of these General Terms as well. You can download the brochure at the harbour dues homepage.
Please contact nautical and logistical service providers directly for more information about their services.
As of May 6th 2009 a new harbour dues system will be used by the Port of Rotterdam Authority.
