The agreement includes arrangements on cooperation in, for example, the approach area and keeping the other party informed in the event of incidents that (may) affect operations. In the event of an incident, (a representative of) the Harbour Master can join the North Sea Regional Management Team (RBN) or Operational Team of the Coastguard Centre in Den Helder. In addition, various laws and plans have been amended in recent years, meaning that an updated agreement was necessary.
