The total number of visiting sea-going vessels in the past week was slightly lower than the average in the same period last year. Inland shipping saw more ship movements than normal due to the low water level and the reduced draught.
Sickness absence at the operational services (harbour master, pilots, linesmen, boatmen and tugs) is no different than usual for this time of the year. Operationally, everything is under control. At Portbase, the capacity and deployment are the same as usual. There are several reports of personnel with symptoms of the coronavirus at the terminals. This has no consequences for continuity. Terminals indicate that they continue to run unabated. Ferries and Ro/Ro show a clear decline in freight and passengers.
