PortXL presents eleven promising port start-ups of 2017!

After months of scouting, nineteen port-related start-ups were invited to participate at the Selection Days of PortXL - World Port Accelerator. These nineteen start-ups came from all over the world to Rotterdam to earn a spot in the accelerator program. After four intensive Selection Days, the eleven startups were selected today. They will now go through an intense one hundred-day program for market launch.

During the Selection Days, 20 startups were extensively questioned on topics such as team, technology, market potential, finance and business development by more than 180 mentors as well port and innovation experts. The eleven startups that will enter the PortXL Accelerator program are:

These start-ups will get access to the wide variety of companies in the Port of Rotterdam, like Van Oord, Vopak Uniper and Boskalis. PortXL offers office space at the ECE campus, test facilities at RDM and all the knowledge of the Rotterdam Port Authority. A team of specialists from EY, Rotterdam Port Fund, Rabobank and Innovation Quarter will coach the start-ups over the next three months on areas such as finance and investment.

Follow the start-ups via Symbid

New this year is the cooperation between PortXL and Symbid, a crowdfunding platform specializing in the financing of innovative companies. Together, they want to make it easier and more efficient for start-ups from PortXL to raise capital by presenting them to a large group of potential investors through this platform.

PortXL Shakedown op 22 June!

On 22 June the startups will present themselves and their achievements at PortXL Shakedown, after the one hundred day accelerator program.
