Precautionary measures and protocols at DHMR
We have taken strict measures at the Harbour Coordination Center (HCC), the Traffic Centers, the Seamen’s Club and our vessels as far as social distancing and hygiene are concerned.
We avoid physical contact and consistently clean all objects in our work environment such as keyboards and workstations. Last week, it looked like we might run out of disinfectants, but fortunately we were able to replenish our supply. We are still able to work according to our regular schedules and the mood is positive. Of course, we are also concerned about each other, about family members and what lies ahead over the next few weeks. The Harbour Master has drawn up a Business Continuity Management plan and we have a number of scale-up options at our disposal should a significant number of colleagues be forced to stay home in the weeks ahead.
