The revised NRMM proposes reduced nitrogen standards for engines in all non-road machinery. The Port of Rotterdam Authority supports the refinement of the emission standards for the inland shipping sector. This is consistent with the sustainability policy being pursued and will also stimulate the use of LNG as a clean transport fuel. Therefore, the Port of Rotterdam Authority emphasises that the proposed standards are achievable with the use of LNG motors.
