The Port of Rotterdam Authority (PoR) and the Rotterdam Harbour Master’s Division process your personal data carefully and securely in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations. An internal supervisor, the Data Protection Officer, has been appointed to ensure that they as controllers process your personal data in accordance with laws and regulations. PoR and the Rotterdam Harbour Master’s Division sometimes work with other parties. The Port of Rotterdam Authority has been managing and developing one of the world’s busiest and largest logistics centres for many years. The international character of the port of Rotterdam may mean that your data will be processed outside the EU. In such a case, we will ensure that your data is protected, and you will be informed of the fact that your data are processed outside the EEA.

Communication

The Port of Rotterdam is one of the most prominent, internationally competitive ports in the world. The Port Authority gladly involves you in the latest developments and we are pleased to convey this. We do this in various ways:

In addition, we also organise business events at home and abroad, we run email campaigns, send newsletters and we produce the Port’s newspaper, the Havenkrant (print run 450,000). The Port of Rotterdam Authority also sponsors a large number of Rotterdam organisations and their events to which we invite our relations. We target the general public through FutureLand. Excursions and guided tours in the Rotterdam port area are organised via FutureLand.

The use of personal data is often necessary to ensure that all these activities run smoothly. We only do this after we have received your permission (e.g. newsletter), to implement an agreement (e.g. cruise booking), or to draw your attention to certain interests. You have the right to withdraw your consent or unsubscribe at any time.

To protect your personal data, the Port of Rotterdam Authority has taken appropriate security measures in line with the applicable legal requirements and guidelines. We have concluded processing agreements with processors. We also store your data in accordance with laws and regulations.
