The United Kingdom’s exit from the European Union is fast approaching. The Port of Rotterdam Authority has been busy for many months raising awareness among citizens and companies about the consequences of Brexit.

Although the EU has offered the UK a brief extension, a no-deal Brexit is still a possibility.

The Port of Rotterdam Authority is continuing to make preparations to enable freight transport via the Port of Rotterdam to run as smoothly as possible, also after Brexit. To demonstrate that the Port of Rotterdam has made optimum preparations for Brexit, the Port of Rotterdam invited national and international journalists to attend a press tour on 22 March 2019. The interest in this press tour was overwhelming.
