If you have a question about FutureLand, please check the frequently asked questions first to see if you can find the answer there. If you still can’t find the answer you’re looking for, then please feel free to contact us!

What is the address of FutureLand?

Europaweg 902, 3199 LC Maasvlakte, Rotterdam, the Netherlands, Port number 8360. Using Google Maps, you can navigate directly to ‘FutureLand’. FutureLand is located on the Maasvlakte, about 50 km from Rotterdam. Check the directions and various options for reaching FutureLand before your visit.

Is admission to FutureLand free?

Yes, visiting the information centre is free. Tickets for tours, excursions and special events can be purchased online. Details and schedules can be found on the FutureLand Express and the FutureLand Ferry webpages.

Is there free parking at FutureLand?

Yes, at the front of the building there is a large area where visitors can park for free. There are three coach parking spaces at the side of the car park.

Can I charge my car?

You can use one of two 11-kW charging points to charge your car at the FutureLand car park. The charging points can be activated using public charging cards. A further charging point for two cars is available at Maasvlakte beach, at P3 on Maasvlakte boulevard.

Can I bring my dog along?

No, with the exception of assistance dogs, we do not allow pets in the FutureLand information centre. This restriction also applies on board the FutureLand Express and FutureLand Ferry.

Is FutureLand wheelchair accessible?

FutureLand is accessible to people with a disability and has an accessible toilet and a lift. The FutureLand Ferry (boat) is also wheelchair accessible and equipped with an accessible toilet. Unfortunately, the FutureLand Express (bus) is not equipped for wheelchair access.

Is it necessary to buy tickets for tours, excursions or events online in advance?

No, subject to availability, tickets can also be purchased at the reception desk. You can pay by card. To avoid disappointment, we recommend that you order your tickets online in advance so you can guarantee being able to take part in your chosen activity. This way we can also let you know if anything changes due to amendments in the schedule or extreme weather conditions.

Are eating and drinking allowed?

You are not allowed to bring your own refreshments into the information centre or take them aboard the FutureLand Ferry or FutureLand Express. However, you may use the picnic areas in front of FutureLand.

Does the FutureLand Ferry operate all year round?

Yes, you can go on a cruise on all days that FutureLand is open. You can enjoy great views of port activities from outside on the upper deck and inside from the lower deck. In the event of extreme weather conditions, cruises may be cancelled for safety reasons. Should this be the case, ticket holders will be informed as soon as possible and payments will be refunded.

Is it possible to reach FutureLand by public transport?

Unfortunately, there are no direct public transport links to FutureLand. RET operates a Fast Ferry service from Hoek van Holland. Please visit the RET website for the current timetable. From the stop on Antarcticaweg, it is about 4.5 kilometres by bicycle or on foot to FutureLand. You may take your bicycle with you on board the RET Fast Ferry.

How can I book tickets online?

At the bottom of the page for the activity of your choice, click on the ‘tickets’ button to see the dates available. You will be redirected to the tickets form. Enter your details, select the number of tickets you require and book any other activities on the day.

How and where can I book a tour and/or cruise?

These pages contain further details about the tours, terms and conditions, and at the very bottom of the page, there’s a link to the online bookings form. Follow all the steps to complete the order.

Start by selecting the desired date at the bottom of the activity page of your choice and click on book.

1. Select the activity of your choice from the total offer for this date and the number of tickets required. If you have a discount code then enter it at the bottom.
2. At the bottom of the page, select the next step.
3. You can now enter your personal details. Make sure your email address is spelled correctly.
4. At the bottom of the page, select the next step.
5. In the payment module, select your preferred method of payment and complete the purchase.
6. You can then download your tickets, which will be sent the email address you entered.

I’ve won a prize, how do I redeem it?

Congratulations on your prize from one of the Goede Doelen Loterijen. Here you will find details on how to redeem your ticket to FutureLand. The Goede Doelen Loterijen are unable to access seat availability information on tours offered by FutureLand. To convert your prize into a tour or cruise, you will therefore have to book through FutureLand as well.

Tickets won through one of the Goede Doelen Loterijen can be ordered as above. Please note: you can only enter one discount code at a time. This means that if you’ve won four tickets, you need to place four orders. Go to step 1 at the bottom of the page and enter the booking code shown on the Goede Doelen Loterij ticket. In the example below, it is highlighted with yellow.

I have received a prize certificate from the lottery. Why do I have to book through you as well?

You want to join a bus tour or a boat tour. It is important that each participant books a seat on board as capacity is limited. This booking can only be made through our website. The Goede Doelen Loterijen are unable to see how many seats are still available. While booking your tickets on our website you will immediately see the current availability from which you can choose. The lottery prize certificate is not a ticket; you still need to convert it into a ticket for FutureLand.

I can't find my preferred date

The reason could be that FutureLand schedules tours and cruises up to approximately eight weeks in advance. So it’s possible that the date of your choice has not yet been listed. If this is the case, please make your booking at a later date. It is also possible that the tour on the date you wished to go on is already fully booked. As such, the tour you want to book will no longer appear in the list. You will then need to choose another date. The booking code’s expiry date can be found at the top of your lottery prize certificate. You have until midnight on the expiry date to redeem codes for a ticket on a date of your choice.

I have won tickets, but want to come with more people. How can I organise this?

Book the tickets with the discount code(s) first. Then order the other tickets you need in the regular way and pay for them directly online.

Do I need to bring the lottery tickets along too?

No, you don’t, because you have already entered the code into the system.

There are different types of tours, which one can I choose?

Your tickets are valid for the FutureLand Express tour (75 mins), the Maasvlakte 2 cruise (60 mins) and the Maasvlakte 1 & 2 cruise (90 mins). You can choose one tour or cruise for each ticket won.

I’ve made a booking on Goede Doelen Loterijen but I can’t make it within the validity period of my prize certificate. Can I still convert it?

Go to step 1 at the bottom of the page and enter the code. The discount will be deducted immediately. If you have an ANWB card, Rotterdam Welcomecard or Rotterdampas, enter your 9-digit card/pass number here.
